Thank you for your interest in visiting Fishermen’s Inn. We are a family owned lodge, committed to privacy and comfort. With 33 years of Alaskan wilderness experience, 2011 is our 13th year in operation. If you visit our web site fishermensinn.com you will be able to get more information and browse through many of our pictures. Fishermen’s Inn is a small, quaint lodge on Baranof Island, accommodating 6-8 people. Our Cessna 185 floatplane will provide access to places very few people go. We also provide guided fly out day trips out of Sitka.
We have a variety of fish including Sockeye, Coho, Chum, King, and Pink salmon. Also Halibut, a variety of Rockfish and Lingcod just to mention a few. We also offer an exclusive fly out adventure for Rainbow Trout, Steelhead and Sea Run Cutthroat Trout. We’ve had many King Salmon caught standing on the floats of the plane in saltwater. We suggest using fishing polls but we had a guest land a silver salmon with his bare hands that jumped into the skiff. That’s a true story! We’ve had many people catch their first rainbows on fly rods.
Our season is from mid-May to mid-September. We ask that you please let us know of the dates you may be interested in so that we can assure their availability. The flight from/to Sitka is provided for our guests and is about 45 minutes.
We are always looking for better ways to make Fishermen’s Inn a success. To make our business run more smoothly and to give you the best possible Fishermen’s Inn, we have chosen to institute these following changes.....

What to Bring
First of all, Southeast Alaska is a rainforest. It is generally wetter and milder than the rest of Alaska and it would be helpful to bring clothing that can be easily layered. Temperatures can vary from the low 50’s to the high 70’s and can be windy, rainy and sunny the same day. Also, Port Alexander has no large stores, doctors or drug stores, visitors may want to bring all the medications and first aid supplies they might need.
